Hi, I’m Carly Cylinder, Flour LA, and I am going to show you how to make a very easy flower girl basket. To make a flower girl basket, you can just take any basket you have lying around or buy a small one from a craft store, wherever you can find it. Take ribbon. It’s important that it has a wire because it makes it easy to bend. And we’re going to add the ribbon to each side of the handle so cut one piece and then measure out the other side using the first piece of ribbon. So we’ll cut that. OK. Next you’re going to just tie it on the handle. You can use whatever color to match the bride and bridesmaids so right now we’re using a gold ribbon. And this is a pretty accent if you’re using light pink flowers or sages, something really soft. If it’s a winter wedding and it’s jewel tones, this would work great with deep burgundies and burnt oranges. Do the other side. You can leave the ribbon short as I have it if you want to cut it longer and have the ribbon draping down, that looks really pretty too. OK. To make the rose petals you’re going to grab a few roses and then simply use your hand, grab it by the head, and then pull it off of the stem so you’re leaving the pollen right there attached. You have the rose petals, and then with your fingers, separate them. Repeat this until you have enough flowers to fill the basket. Again you can use any color. We’re using white today. A really vibrant color would be really pretty like a hot pink or if you want, you can mix it so you could do a pink and white, whatever matches the wedding. Fill the basket. Make sure that there’s plastic lining the basket just to prevent anything from hanging down or falling out. There we go. I’m Carly Cylinder, and that is how you make a flower girl basket.
